Best known today as a drug counselor ("The Guy In The Hat") appearing on VH1's Celebrity Rehab with Dr Drew and spinoff Sober House, Bob Forrest spent the last 30 years as a musician, fronting the critically acclaimed Los Angeles bands: Thelonious Monster and The Bicycle Thief. In the '80s and '90s he made seven albums and toured around the world with bands such as the Red Hot Chili Peppers, the Foo Fighters, and the Stone Temple Pilots. Bob visited rehab facilities 24 times before finding sobriety in 1996. He spent the last 15 years becoming one of the foremost chemical dependency counselors working in the southern California region. Bob has been on the Board for the Musicians Assistance Program (MAP), and spent eight years counseling at Las Encinas Hospital in Pasadena. In 2010, Bob opened his own facility in the heart of Hollywood.
In 2011, Keirda Bahruth debuted "BOB AND THE MONSTER", a documentary following Bob "through his life-threatening struggle with addiction, to his transformation into one of the most influential and controversial drug counselors in the US today."
Bob remains as passionate about music as ever, bringing his unique view and social commentary to ALL UP IN THE INTERWEB every Wednesday night from 8-10 pm (PST). The technical stuff is all handled by his cohorts "Producer Dave" Coelho and "Nate The Man" Pottker."
